Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimbo Jimbob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Senjin Teranova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Senjin Teranova has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Teranova looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Teranova tries to clinch there but Jimbob circles away.

Teranova bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Teranova tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Teranova working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jimbob pushes Teranova away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Teranova gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Teranova is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jimbob is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Teranova tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Teranova has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Teranova is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jimbob knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Jimbob wants to control but Teranova postures up.
Jimbob might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Teranova is trying to control but can't.
Teranova works his way to full guard. Good work.
Teranova looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jimbob is one step ahead there.

Teranova working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jimbob doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jimbob manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jimbob wants to stand but Teranova has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jimbob stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Teranova swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jimbob wants to control from the top but Teranova keeps moving.
Jimbob pushes down on Teranova's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Teranova is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Jimbob is staying active.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Teranova will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Teranova counters with a single leg into guard. Jimbob didn't expect that.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Teranova gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jimbob regains guard.
Teranova wants to control from the top but Jimbob keeps moving.
Teranova stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jimbob swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Teranova drops back looking for a leg! Jimbob is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jimbob manages to kick Teranova off! Teranova jumps back into Jimbob's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Senjin Teranova showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Teranova has control of Jimbob's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jimbob regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jimbob wants to control but Teranova is having none of it.

Jimbob is squirming around, avoiding Teranova's attempts to control the action.
Teranova is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Teranova is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jimbob can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Teranova is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jimbob is surviving well by controlling Teranova's body position as best he can.
