Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yevgeni Andreyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Santucho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Yevgeni Andreyev has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yevgeni Andreyev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pablo Santucho!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Andreyev looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Andreyev closes the distance and pushes Santucho back into the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Andreyev.
Andreyev lands with a short punch from the clinch.


It looks like Pablo Santucho has been cut.
Santucho works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Andreyev creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Santucho can't find room to land a body shot as Andreyev controls the action.

Andreyev tries to clinch up but Santucho circles away and keeps his distance.
Andreyev bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Santucho's head backwards.
Santucho throws a jab but it's blocked by Andreyev.
Andreyev throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Santucho connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Andreyev tries to clinch but Santucho moves out of range.

Santucho turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Santucho shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Andreyev manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Santucho is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Santucho's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Santucho working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Santucho stops Andreyev from standing up.
Santucho lands a couple of digs.
Andreyev keeping moving, preventing Santucho from controlling successfully.
Santucho passes Andreyev's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Andreyev pushes Santucho off looking to stand but Santucho dives back in and keeps control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Santucho connects with a nice short shot to Andreyev's temple.

Santucho is taking a breather. Andreyev says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Santucho is trying to control the action in half guard but Andreyev is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Andreyev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Santucho on the ground.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Santucho passes the guard and advances to mount!
Santucho lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Santucho tries to control but Andreyev wriggling away.
Santucho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Santucho lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Santucho lands a big shot there that rocks Andreyev but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Santucho breaks from Andreyev's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Santucho bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Andreyev leaves Santucho with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Santucho shoots in and drives through. Andreyev sprawls well.
Andreyev thows a body shot but no joy.
Santucho bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Andreyev's head.
Santucho misses the shot to the body.
Andreyev misses with the combination.
Yevgeni Andreyev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Santucho misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Yevgeni Andreyev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Santucho.
Santucho throws out a loose jab but Andreyev uses good head movement to avoid it.
Santucho avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Andreyev is not content to let Santucho control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Andreyev wants to get back to his feet but Santucho drags him back down.
Santucho slows the pace down.

Santucho wants to lay and pray for a moment but Andreyev keeps working.
Andreyev takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Andreyev avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Santucho.
Santucho staying calm.
Andreyev takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Santucho cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Santucho has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Santucho fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Andreyev is rocked!
A nice elbow there by Santucho.
Oh Andreyev is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Andreyev on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Andreyev tries to get out of the position.
A big strike lands for Santucho! That's really hurt Andreyev and he's turned his back - Santucho keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Santucho jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
