Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vasilij Zajtsev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gomer Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacobs has chosen Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gomer Jacobs!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zajtsev misses the shot to the body.
Jacobs throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jacobs looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Zajtsev lands a jab-cross combination.
Zajtsev lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Jacobs tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zajtsev sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jacobs somewhat.

Oooooh!!! Zajtsev has knocked Jacobs down with a huge combo! Zajtsev steps away and waves a wobbly Jacobs back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Jacobs shoots in for a takedown but Zajtsev shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Zajtsev throws a sloppy head kick and Jacobs moves out of range easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zajtsev is trying to stick to Jacobs's back but Jacobs is turning into Zajtsev. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Zajtsev's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jacobs.

Zajtsev has his feet on Jacobs's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Zajtsev is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jacobs is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jacobs is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Zajtsev to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Zajtsev shrugs it off.

Jacobs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zajtsev defends it easily.
