Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rich Fronning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Rackham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Fronning!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Rackham!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rackham fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rackham scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Rackham throws a right and a left that Fronning avoids nicely.

Rackham lands a big head kick that sends Fronning tumbling to the mat! Rackham takes a step backwards and waves Fronning back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Fronning is rocked!


It looks like Rich Fronning has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fronning throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oh Fronning is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rackham bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Fronning throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fronning fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Fronning seems to have got his legs back now.
Rackham shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fronning eats them both and turns towards Rackham to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Rackham closes the distance and clinches up with Fronning, looking for a takedown. Rackham pushes Fronning against the cage but Fronning circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fronning misses with a series of wild punches.
Rackham misses with the combination.

Rackham lands a left and a right that send Fronning crashing to the mat, dazed. Rackham thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Rackham shoots in and bounces Fronning off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Rackham is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rackham's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Rackham working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Rackham drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fronning dives on top into guard.
Fronning won't allow Rackham to sweep him here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fronning trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rackham's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rackham can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rackham is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rackham has his hands on Fronning's head, controlling the position.

Jack Rackham has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Rackham lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rackham dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fronning. That did some damage!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rackham scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fronning misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fronning is breathing heavily.
Rackham connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Fronning covering up! Rackham comes in with a big uppercut and Fronning goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jack Rackham!
