Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Hanssen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Bittbull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert Hanssen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jose Bittbull!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bittbull stuffs the takedown attempt from Hanssen. Hanssen gets slowly back to his feet.
Hanssen throws a series of punches but Bittbull moves out of range.

Hanssen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bittbull to the mat! Bittbull manages to get full guard.

Hanssen is fighting to break Bittbull's control of his arms but Bittbull is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Bittbull looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hanssen puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Bittbull keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Let's hope that Bittbull has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Hanssen tries to stand but can't do so whilst Bittbull controls his leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hanssen is thwarting Bittbull's attempts to control the position.
Bittbull is staying active underneath Hanssen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bittbull manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Hanssen wants to pass the guard but Bittbull is keeping the position.

Bittbull has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hanssen uses from the top position.

Bittbull is pressed up against the cage. Hanssen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bittbull down to the mat. Bittbull avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

A close round but Jose Bittbull will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


The fighters circling - Bittbull throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hanssen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bittbull has his takedown stuffed

and Hanssen counters with a takedown into side control.
Bittbull is not content to let Hanssen control the position.

Hanssen has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Hanssen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


It looks like Jose Bittbull has been cut.
Robert Hanssen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hanssen misses with a head kick.
No luck for Hanssen with that takedown attempt.
Bittbull is breathing heavily.
Hanssen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bittbull moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hanssen knocks Bittbull to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Bittbull is still in real trouble! Can Hanssen finish him?

Hanssen stands up.
Bittbull seems to have recovered his senses.

and Bittbull holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hanssen tries to break the clinch but Bittbull is controlling the position.

Hanssen wants to stall.
Bittbull tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hanssen just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bittbull can't break the clinch.
Hanssen has Bittbull pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bittbull manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bittbull escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bittbull scores with a jab to the jaw.

Bittbull decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bittbull passes the guard and advances to mount!
Hanssen slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hanssen is trying to maintain the position but Bittbull is very close to passing his half guard.

Hanssen wants to control but Bittbull is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bittbull tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hanssen knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Bittbull working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Hanssen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bittbull smiles and moves away.

and Hanssen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bittbull won't be happy with that.

Bittbull is looking to get back to his feet here but Hanssen is keeping cool and he's managed to take Bittbull's back.
Bittbull turns into Hanssen and is now in his guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hanssen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bittbull controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Hanssen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bittbull is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hanssen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bittbull's back instead.
Hanssen gets his hands free as Bittbull looks to control.
Hanssen is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hanssen lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Bittbull hold on?!

Hanssen is looking to control Bittbull but Bittbull is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Hanssen has the hooks in. Bittbull is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Hanssen scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

Hanssen is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Bittbull won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Hanssen off his unconscious opponent!
