Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shogun Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maimuta Prunea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shogun Rua could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Maimuta Prunea's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prunea takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Rua leaves Prunea with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Prunea shoots for a double leg takedown but Rua sprawls well. He's pushed Prunea's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Both fighters circling a little - Rua finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Prunea. Those never looked like landing.
Prunea misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Shogun Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maimuta Prunea.
Rua is looking to slow Prunea down with leg kicks.
Rua fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Prunea.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rua.
Rua throws a body kick that misses.
Rua throws a front kick that sends Prunea stumbling back into the cage.
Prunea tries to clinch up.

Prunea gets tackled into the cage by Rua. Rua maintains the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Prunea working hard to break the clinch.
Rua's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Rua throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Prunea blocks it with crossed arms.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Prunea just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rua's brow.
Prunea tries to pull guard but Rua holds him up against the cage and eventually Prunea drops back down to his feet.

Rua lands a big knee to the head and Prunea goes down! Rua pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
