Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Redeemer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott Silva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Scott Silva!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redeemer swings widly with a right hand

and Silva counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Redeemer!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Silva is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Redeemer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Redeemer shrugs it off.

Redeemer somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Redeemer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Redeemer dips to his left and cracks Silva with an uppercut!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva drops his hands momentarily and Redeemer takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Redeemer throws a lazy head kick

and Silva counters by moving into the clinch.

Silva successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Redeemer decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Redeemer misses with a wild combination.

Silva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Redeemer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Redeemer is trying to get back to half guard.

Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Redeemer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Silva has hold of Redeemer's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Redeemer tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Silva cranks the arm and Redeemer screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Redeemer, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
