Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Second Coming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jhon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Second Coming!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jhon Jones!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Coming doesn't seem bothered though.
Coming lands a high kick!
Jones throws a body punch but Coming moves out of range.
Coming tries to clinch up.
Coming tries to clinch but Jones moves away

so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Coming looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones trying to control but Coming is working from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Coming is keeping the position.

Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Coming looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jones passes into half guard.
Jones throwing shots but Coming is blocking nicely.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jones drops an elbow to the side of Coming's head.
Coming is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Jones jumps into side control!
Coming manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Coming is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones is thwarting Coming's attempts to control the position.
Jones content to control rather than advance.
Jones uses his free foot to push down on Coming's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Coming.

Jones wants to finish this one by submission but Coming is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jones.
Coming is trying desperately to improve position.

Coming tries to hold on but Jones postures up.
BOOM! Jones connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Coming wants to control but Jones is having none of it.
Jones with the ground and pound from mount.
Jones landing punches.
Coming sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Jones controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Coming tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Coming is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Coming gets tackled into the cage by Jones. Jones maintains the clinch.

Coming breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jhon Jones dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jones tries to clinch but Coming moves out of range.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Coming sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Coming scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Second Coming is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Coming paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Coming bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Coming tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Coming didn't expect that.
Coming keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Coming is trying to keep Jones in close.
Jones looking to pass the guard.

Coming wants to sweep but no luck.

Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Coming working a defensive guard but Jones manages to pass into side control anyway.
Coming manages to get back to half guard.
Coming controlling the position for now.

Jones stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Coming to get to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Coming feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Coming tries to stand but Jones is controlling from the bottom.
Coming won't allow Jones to sweep him here.
Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Coming's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
A nice combination there by Coming.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Coming sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jones is looking to clinch.

Coming gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Jones counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Coming!
Coming is just holding on here. Jones manages to take his back.
What can Coming do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Jones is hanging on to Coming's back as he tries to escape.

Jones slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Coming rolls, trying to escape but Jones keeps control of the position.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jones has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jhon Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Coming tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.
Jones tries for a takedown but Coming sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Jones clinches.
Jones drops down looking for an ankle pick but Coming pulls his leg out and moves away.
Coming displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
Second Coming has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jhon Jones.

Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Coming napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Coming is not content to let Jones control the position.
Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Coming is pushing Jones's head away, looking to escape. Jones manages to hold on to the position though.

Coming is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it.
Jones in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Coming can't do much from the bottom here.
Jones happy to just control the position for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Coming is looking for a sweep.
Coming trying to remain calm as Jones controls from the top position.
Jones scores with punches from side control.
You can see the frustration on Coming's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Jones scores a takedown into full mount!
Coming is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Coming's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Jones wants to finish this one by submission but Coming is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jones.
Coming is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Coming tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away.

Jones with shots to the head and body - Coming looks very uncomfortable down there.
Coming tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jones has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Coming's face.
Coming is working to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones looking to control and managing it successfully.

Jhon Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Jones winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
