The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slade on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Slade tries to land a front kick but Sarsola steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sarsola shoots in looking for a takedown but Slade manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sarsola's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Slade swings for the body but Sarsola moves out of range.
Sarsola connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Sarsola misses with a double jab.
Sarsola fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sarsola moves out of range of the body kick.
Sarsola fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Slade looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Slade swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Leo Sarsola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slade has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sarsola finds it's way round the side to connect with Slade's head.
Slade throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sarsola punishes Slade's body with a nice straight punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sarsola thows a body shot but no joy.
Sarsola scores with a hook to the body. Slade takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Slade uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sarsola.
Slade throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Slade lands a slapping body shot.
John Slade is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Slade crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sarsola - the referee stops the clock and Slade gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sarsola. Slade manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That kick from Slade tenderised Sarsola's leg. Sarsola is trying to keep his angry face on.

Slade lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Sarsola throws a head kick but Slade moves out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Slade takes one to the chin there.
Slade walks into a straight right hand from Sarsola.
Sarsola misses with an uppercut. Slade saw that one coming.
Sarsola loads up on a big right hand but Slade slips the punch.
Nice uppercut there from Slade.
Slade lands a leg kick that knocks Sarsola off balance momentarily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sarsola.
Sarsola shoots for a double leg takedown but Slade sprawls well. He's pushed Sarsola's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Sarsola. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Slade ducks under a wild hook from Sarsola.
Sarsola on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Sarsola comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Slade scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Sarsola motions for Slade to come forward. Sarsola throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sarsola cracks Slade with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Sarsola misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Slade.
Slade throws a body kick that misses.
Sarsola takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sarsola connects with a body shot.
Sarsola stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sarsola postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sarsola is standing up over Slade. Slade looks to escape but Sarsola dives into side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
