Sakrucki is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kochana Polsko. Rony Jaa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jaa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Jaa. No joy for Sakrucki on that attempt.
Sakrucki checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Sakrucki closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jaa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sakrucki thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sakrucki thows a huge punch but Jaa dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sakrucki seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Jaa wants to get back to his feet but Sakrucki is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A relieved looking Wojciech Sakrucki thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
