Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sasa Gusi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Douglas's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rocky's Theme. Gusi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ekipa- BGD Syndicate kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas is looking to clinch.
Douglas tries to clinch up but Gusi circles away and keeps his distance.

Gusi blocks a leg kick.
Gusi connects with a body shot.
Douglas walks forward, straight into a front kick from Gusi.
Douglas tries to close the distance and clinch but Gusi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Douglas misses with a low kick.
Douglas throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Sasa Gusi has been cut.
That kick from Gusi tenderised Douglas's leg. Douglas is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gusi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Douglas thows a body shot but no joy.
Douglas throws a head kick that misses.
Gusi throws out a powerful jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Douglas wants to clinch but Gusi slips to the side
and Gusi counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Gusi's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gusi duly obliges.

Douglas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Gusi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Douglas thinking.
Douglas doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gusi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Gusi lands a nice looking body shot.
Douglas throws a head kick but Gusi moves out of range.

Gusi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Gusi throws a right and a left that both miss.

Douglas moves in looking to clinch but Gusi pushes him off.
Gusi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Douglas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gusi manages to avoid it.
Douglas throws a series of punches but Gusi moves out of range.
Douglas moves to clinch but Gusi breaks away
and Gusi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Gusi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Douglas scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Douglas looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Gusi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Douglas tries to clinch but Gusi is having none of it.
Gusi lands a slapping body shot.
Douglas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gusi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gusi lands a nice hook to Douglas's body. Douglas takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Douglas uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gusi.
Gusi moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Gusi lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Nice uppercut there from Gusi.
Gusi lands a two punch combo.
Douglas tries to clinch up.
Gusi misses with a series of wild punches.
Douglas lands with a nice body kick.
Douglas on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gusi.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Douglas regains half guard there - taking advantage of Gusi's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Gusi is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Gusi controlling the pace for now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gusi's corner calls for a 1-2. Gusi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Douglas clinches up against the cage.
Gusi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Douglas pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sasa Gusi seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Gusi thuds a left hand into Douglas's body.
Douglas tries to clinch but Gusi moves out of range.
Gusi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Douglas lands with a slapping head kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gusi shoots in and gets a takedown into Douglas's guard.
Gusi lands a couple of elbows.
Gusi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Douglas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gusi engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Gusi postures up and lands a big shot to Douglas's brow.
Gusi controlling from the top position.
Gusi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Douglas trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Gusi lands a couple of elbows.
Gusi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Douglas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gusi on the ground.

Gusi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Douglas is trying desperately to improve position.

Gusi is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Douglas has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gusi lands a big elbow.

Douglas is in a horrible position here. Gusi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Gusi throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Douglas has his hands clasped together but Gusi breaks the hold and Douglas is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gusi!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sasa Gusi!
An out of breath Sasa Gusi thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
