Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marc Andre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liberius Beowulf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andre lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The fighters circle momentarily. Andre darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Andre bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Beowulf's head backwards.

Andre fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Beowulf manages to avoid it.

Beowulf takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Andre is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Some bone on bone action there as Beowulf checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Andre throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Beowulf takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Marc Andre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Beowulf walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

The cut above Liberius Beowulf's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Andre! Beowulf is out on his feet! Andre rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Beowulf is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Beowulf is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
