Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Poppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Nick Poppy is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez misses with a takedown
and Poppy counters with a thumping low kick.
Ramirez takes a swing at Poppy's ribcage but misses.
Poppy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ramirez looks gassed!
Ramirez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ramirez misses with a double jab.
Poppy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Poppy attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Poppy throws a quick inside leg kick.
Poppy fails to land the takedown.
Poppy throws out a loose jab but Ramirez uses good head movement to avoid it.
Poppy misses with a low kick.
Ramirez leaves Poppy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Ramirez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ramirez showed some decent athleticism there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Poppy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ramirez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ramirez's back!

Poppy is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Ramirez won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Poppy off his unconscious opponent!
