Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Trester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Trester has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Trester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Snow!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trester throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Trester throws a hook but Snow avoids it easily.
Trester tries to clinch but Snow moves out of range.
Trester ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Trester misses with a looping left.
Trester's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Snow connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Trester scrambles back to his feet.
Snow connects with a single shot there.
Snow uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Trester.
Snow connects with a jab.
Trester avoids the body shot from Snow.
Snow moves out of range of the body kick from Trester.
Trester throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Snow scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Trester doesn't seem bothered though.
Trester throws the left hand but Snow avoids the punch easily.

Snow tries to close the distance and clinch but Trester swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Snow avoids the body shot from Trester.
Snow takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Trester thows a left - swing and a miss!
Snow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trester as he jumps to the side.
Snow scores with a nice strike.
Trester throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Trester misses with a looping left.
Snow uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Trester.
Snow lands a slapping body shot.
Snow ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Trester moves away.
Trester connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Snow misses with a takedown attempt - Trester sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Snow throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Trester stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Trester throws an overhand right that lands on Snow's shoulder, as Snow tries to avoid the shot.
Snow takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Trester is trying to force a seperation but Snow has the dominant position.

Trester escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ben Trester is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Snow scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Snow changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Snow throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Snow is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Trester rather than just go for the knockout.

Snow ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Trester moves away.
Trester shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Trester throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Snow takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Trester misses with a lunging right hand
and Snow counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Trester throws a looping overhand right but Snow ducks down to avoid it.
Snow displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Trester throws out the jab.

Snow closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Trester is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Snow thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Trester is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Snow is controlling him well.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Trester trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Snow is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Trester knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ben Trester will probably get the nod.

Snow is pushing down on Trester's leg trying to pass to half guard. Trester is fighting to maintain full guard but Snow has managed to sneak the leg through.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Ben Trester!
Ben Trester decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
