Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zack Allan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Humberto Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allan comes to the cage accompanied by FLAMES. Cruz has chosen Deja Vu as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Humberto Cruz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Humberto Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz swats away the attempt to clinch by Allan.
Cruz scores with a hook to the body. Allan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Cruz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Allan finds it's way round the side to connect with Cruz's head.

Cruz closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Allan to the mat! Allan manages to get full guard.
Cruz looking to pass the guard.
Allan seems keen to control Cruz's posture.
Cruz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Allan has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Cruz has passed into side control.
You can see the frustration on Allan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Allan manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Cruz thows a huge punch but Allan dodges it nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Allan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Allan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Cruz tries to free his leg and advance position but Allan is retaining full guard.
Allan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cruz manages to get himself to full guard.
Allan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Allan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Zack Allan wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Cruz jabs Allan to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Cruz misses with a wild body shot.
Allan moves in looking to clinch but Cruz pushes him off.
Allan doesn't manage to clinch there - Cruz circles away.
Cruz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Allan was well out of range. Poor timing from Cruz.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Cruz finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Cruz throws a head kick that misses.
Allan walks into a straight right hand from Cruz.
Cruz connects with a jab.
Cruz throws a low kick but Allan moves out of range easily.
Zack Allan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Allan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Cruz throws a wild body kick that Allan sees coming a mile off.
Allan on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Cruz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cruz swings for the body but Allan moves out of range.
Cruz throws a leg kick that is checked
and Allan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cruz is looking to score with low kicks.
Allan with a jab.
Humberto Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cruz throws the kick towards the body but Allan avoids it.
Allan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Allan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cruz scores with a sloppy right hand. Allan should have avoided that one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cruz misses with an uppercut. Allan saw that one coming.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cruz.
Allan swings away with a body shot that misses

and Cruz counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Allan!

Allan is rocked!

Allan manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Oh Allan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cruz connects with an inside leg kick.
Allan gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Cruz gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Humberto Cruz!
