Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Money (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Milky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Money is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Brian Milky looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Money!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Milky!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Money instigates a clinch.
Milky looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Money is looking to take this one to the mat.
A frustrated look appears on Money's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Milky tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Money has a couple of punches blocked by Milky.
Money goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Money tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Milky avoids it.

Money breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Milky tries to clinch up but Money circles away and keeps his distance.
Milky lands with a kick to the temple. Money shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Milky tries to score a power double leg takedown but Money sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Milky somewhat.

Money rushes Milky and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Milky wants to stall.
Money is trying to break the clinch but Milky has him pressed against the cage.

Milky gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Money keeping full guard, as Milky tries to pass.
Milky throws a big right hand that misses.
Money is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Milky stopping the sweep attempt from Money.
Money keeping moving, preventing Milky from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Brian Milky hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Money clinches up with Milky and pushes him back against the cage.

Money's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Milky closes this distance looking for a takedown but Money circles away.

Money seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Money wants to control from the top but Milky keeps moving.

Milky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Money manages to get himself to full guard.
Money pulls Milky in close to prevent any damage.

Milky can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Money controls the pace.

Money stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Milky swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Money wanted to stand there but Milky had control of the position.
Money trying to control the position from guard on top but Milky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Joe Money wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Milky thows a body kick. Money tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Money gets a double leg takedown into Milky's guard.
Money trying to control but Milky is working from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Money shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Milky defends it nicely.
Milky misses with a takedown attempt - Money sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Money tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Money stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Money wants it to stay on the feet.
Joe Money is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Money shoots in and drives through. Milky sprawls well.

Milky tries to keep at a distance but Money has taken the fight into the clinch.

Money tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Milky paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Money sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Money has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Money goes for a takedown in the clinch but Milky prevents it.
Milky is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Money gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Milky misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Money.

Money breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Milky misses with a head kick.

Money feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Money working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Milky's head.

Money pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown by Milky or perhaps it was just good defense by Money which made him look bad.
Money fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Milky keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Money is squirming around, avoiding Milky's attempts to control the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Milky prevents Money from getting the reversal.
Milky tries to control but Money wriggling away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Money will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Joe Money's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Money doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Milky counters with a nice body kick.
Money is looking to clinch but Milky is avoiding it.
Joe Money seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Money fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Money throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Milky counter with a right hand.

Milky feints and as Money raises his hands in defense, Milky changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Money seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Milky postures up in Money's guard and throws a big left but Money blocks it.
Money has his hands on Milky's head, controlling the position.
Money lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Milky!
Money tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Milky fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Milky sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Milky is staying active underneath Money, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Money wants to free his trapped foot but Milky is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Joe Money is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Money looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Joe Money.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Money, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
