Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chip Freedom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adams Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams Jacobs is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chip Freedom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adams Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs blocks a head kick by Freedom.
Freedom keeps the fight on the outside.

Freedom looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Freedom seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Jacobs looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Freedom trying to control but Jacobs is working from the bottom.
Freedom forces his way into half guard.
Jacobs wants to control but Freedom is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jacobs avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Freedom.
Jacobs has hold of Freedom's hands but Freedom slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Freedom thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Freedom is pressing down on Jacobs's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jacobs is holding on for now.
Jacobs looks gassed!
Freedom scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Freedom has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Freedom wants to free his trapped foot but Jacobs is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Freedom is working hard here to advance position.
Freedom takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Jacobs wants to control but Freedom is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Freedom seems to be working for a kimura but Jacobs defends the submission attempt.
Jacobs is staying active underneath Freedom, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Freedom passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jacobs!

Freedom trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Freedom throws some wild stikes that Jacobs manages to avoid easily.
Freedom pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Jacobs manages to control the position for a moment.
Freedom has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jacobs's face.

Jacobs is in all sorts of trouble here.

Freedom swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jacobs is now in Freedom's guard. A big mistake from Freedom there, giving up the dominant position!

Freedom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jacobs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jacobs manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Freedom trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Freedom working for a triangle but Jacobs defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chip Freedom dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Freedom shoots in for a double leg but Jacobs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jacobs wants to clinch up but Freedom keeps it at a distance.

Freedom fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jacobs sprawls well initially but Freedom persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jacobs is not content to let Freedom control the position.
Freedom trying to control from Jacobs's half guard. Jacobs has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Jacobs throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Freedom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jacobs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jacobs utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jacobs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Jacobs working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Freedom.
Jacobs is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Freedom closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Freedom not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Jacobs pushes Freedom off looking to stand but Freedom dives back in and keeps control.
Jacobs wants to get back to full guard.

Jacobs flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Jacobs slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Jacobs looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Freedom trying to control but Jacobs is working from the bottom.
Jacobs is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Freedom tries to score with a low kick but Jacobs moves his leg out of the way.
Jacobs tries to close the distance and clinch up but Freedom swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Freedom clinches up with Jacobs and pushes him back against the cage.
Freedom misses with a knee strike.
Jacobs fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jacobs looking to stall.
Freedom throws a knee to the head but misses.
Freedom is pressed up against the cage. Jacobs has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Freedom down to the mat. Freedom avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Chip Freedom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freedom tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jacobs paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jacobs chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Freedom can pounce on him.
Jacobs takes one to the chin there.
Nice sprawl there from Freedom as Jacobs shoots in.
Chip Freedom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adams Jacobs.
Freedom misses with a wild combination.
Jacobs tries to close the distance and clinch up but Freedom swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jacobs digs a good body shot into Freedom's ribs.

Jacobs scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Jacobs is keen to just control but Freedom is a slippery customer.
Freedom trying to hold on to Jacobs's head to control him but Jacobs postures up.
Freedom moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Freedom pulls Jacobs in close to prevent any damage.
Jacobs stopping the sweep attempt from Freedom.

Freedom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jacobs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Freedom is tightening it up a little... Jacobs has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Jacobs reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Jacobs taps out! nice BJJ there by Freedom!
