PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bayden Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alucard Darkim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wood comes to the cage accompanied by kick my ass......rehab. Darkim comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I'm new in da city kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bayden Wood!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alucard Darkim!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood falls off balance throwing a combination
and Darkim counters with a good low kick that Wood was not able to check.
Wood fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Darkim is out of range.
Wood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Darkim.
Darkim scores with a jab to the body.
Wood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Darkim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wood's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Wood duly obliges.

Wood swings widly with a right hand

and Darkim counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Wood is not content to let Darkim control the position.

Darkim is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wood doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Darkim.
Wood is trying to stand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Darkim is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Darkim with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Darkim thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wood's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Darkim sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wood defending well though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Darkim thows a huge punch but Wood dodges it nicely.
Darkim stops Wood from getting back to his feet.

Darkim is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Darkim working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Darkim is looking to take a break and control but Wood is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Darkim working over Wood with some ground and pound. Wood looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Darkim thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Darkim is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Wood is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
