Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie Pitney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bam Bam!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitney shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bam counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Pitney wants to get back to full guard.
Bam scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Bam missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Bam looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pitney is trying to control but can't.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pitney is pressing down on Bam's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bam landing with the ground and pound.
Bam throws a big elbow that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bam throwing strikes from guard but Pitney blocks nicely.
Bam throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bam postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pitney is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bam trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bam is working Pitney over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bam preventing the sweep.
Bam is looking to work some ground and pound but Pitney has wrist control.

Bam wants to pass the guard but Pitney is keeping the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bam accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bam throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bam with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bam lands a couple of digs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pitney keeping moving, preventing Bam from controlling successfully.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bam's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bam lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Bam landing with the ground and pound.
Bam lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Bam is looking to work some ground and pound but Pitney has wrist control.
Bam throwing strikes from guard but Pitney blocks nicely.
Pitney is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pitney will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bam wants to control but Pitney is keeping busy.
Pitney looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bam with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pitney works his way into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bam can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bam wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Pitney wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bam, who protects the arm well.
Bam tries to bench press Pitney off him but Pitney keeps the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bam tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Pitney in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Pitney is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bam has escaped the position, nice work there.
Pitney landing strikes.
Bam connects with an elbow from the bottom.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bam is looking for a sweep.

Pitney has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Bam is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Pitney yanks on the arm and Bam is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Pitney.
