Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Drew Alvarado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sylvester the EXPENDIBLE (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). the EXPENDIBLE is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarado throws a good cross that connects.

It looks like Sylvester the EXPENDIBLE has been cut.
the EXPENDIBLE wants to clinch but Alvarado slips to the side
and Alvarado counters with a body kick that stops the EXPENDIBLE in his tracks momentarily.
Good work by the EXPENDIBLE as he checks the leg kick.
Alvarado misses with a combination
and the EXPENDIBLE counters with a nice kick to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alvarado pivots, looking for a leg kick but the EXPENDIBLE is out of range and Alvarado settles back down.

the EXPENDIBLE tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Drew Alvarado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvarado looks to score with a jab to the body but the EXPENDIBLE is just out of range.

Alvarado shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Drew Alvarado's cut is getting worse.
the EXPENDIBLE fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

the EXPENDIBLE scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Alvarado to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.

the EXPENDIBLE throws a nice looking combination but Alvarado bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Oh Alvarado is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
the EXPENDIBLE tries to clinch there but Alvarado circles away.
Alvarado seems to have got his legs back now.
the EXPENDIBLE moves in looking to clinch but Alvarado pushes him off.

Alvarado will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

the EXPENDIBLE moves in looking to clinch but Alvarado pushes him off.
Alvarado takes a swing at the EXPENDIBLE's ribcage but misses.

the EXPENDIBLE throws out a head kick that Alvarado doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Alvarado crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Alvarado's eyes and has decided to let it go on!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by the EXPENDIBLE.
Alvarado gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Jeez, Drew Alvarado's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Drew Alvarado's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
