Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Fertit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fejao Rulez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rulez has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Fertit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Fertit.
Rulez looks gassed!
Fertit shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rulez as he jumps to the side.
Rulez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fertit throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fertit misses with the combination.
Rulez swats away the attempt to clinch by Fertit.
Fertit shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Rulez is controlling an arm, preventing Fertit from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Fertit lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rulez hang on?

Fertit with shots to the head and body - Rulez looks very uncomfortable down there.
Rulez is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Fertit tries to control but Rulez wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fertit has control of Rulez's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rulez regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Rulez is in all sorts of trouble here.
Fertit cracks Rulez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Rulez tries to buck Fertit off but he can't manage it.

Fertit stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Fertit looks to land a combination. Rulez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Fertit shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rulez as he avoids it easily.
Rulez drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fertit can't keep his opponent in guard - Rulez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fertit regains full guard. Nicely done.
Rulez won't allow Fertit to sweep him here.
Fertit looking for a guillotine here but Rulez defends easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fertit working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rulez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rulez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fertit controls Rulez momentarily but Rulez frees himself.

Rulez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Fertit looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fertit tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fertit lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rulez!
Fertit prevents Rulez from getting the reversal.
Fertit fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Fertit is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rulez has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fertit lands a big shot there that rocks Rulez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Fertit looking to finish Rulez with some ground and pound. This is bad for Rulez!
Fertit is working for a guillotine from mount but Rulez frees his head quite easily.
Fertit with a couple of short strikes.
Rulez is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fertit looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Rulez working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Fertit dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Fertit has his takedown stuffed
and Rulez counters with an outside leg kick.
Fertit tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rulez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fertit throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fertit swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tony Fertit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice combo by Fertit! Oh, that's hurt him - Rulez falls to the canvas and Fertit follows him into side control.
Rulez is rocked!
It looks like Fejao Rulez has been cut.
Fertit lands a strong strike to the head of Rulez. That's dazed him! Fertit looking to finish here. Rulez is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Fertit lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Fertit!
