Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aiko Flaviano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aiko Flaviano will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flaviano pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Flaviano stuffs the takedown attempt from Emelianenko. Emelianenko gets slowly back to his feet.

Flaviano drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Flaviano jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Flaviano tries to free his leg and advance position but Emelianenko is retaining full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Flaviano throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Emelianenko was covering up waiting for the punch and Flaviano finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Emelianenko is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Flaviano throws an elbow that misses. Emelianenko uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Flaviano's guard. Nice move by Emelianenko!
Emelianenko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Flaviano swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Emelianenko stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Flaviano closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Emelianenko to the mat! Emelianenko manages to get full guard.

Emelianenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flaviano gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Flaviano tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Flaviano has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

I would just about give that final round to Aiko Flaviano.
