Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derek Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vader Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blake wants it to stay on the feet.

Flynn gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Blake to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Flynn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blake sprawls well. Blake wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Flynn gets slowly back to his feet.
Vader Flynn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blake swings for the body but Flynn moves out of range.
Flynn shoots for a takedown but Blake saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Flynn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blake swivels and escapes.

Blake wants to work for an arm triangle but Flynn is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Derek Blake overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Blake is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Flynn defends it well.

Flynn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Flynn closes the distance and clinches up with Blake, looking for a takedown. Flynn pushes Blake against the cage but Blake circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Blake shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Flynn but Flynn pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Blake shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Blake was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Blake takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Flynn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blake tries to avoid it but Flynn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blake to the ground. Blake escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Blake manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Flynn on his heels. He'll look to pass Flynn's guard now, I'm sure.

Blake seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Flynn for as long as he can get away with.

Blake feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
