Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Nassoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Howard has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jerry Nassoon's chin.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard throws a leg kick but Nassoon checks it.

Howard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Howard perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Nassoon is trying to get back to full guard.
Nassoon trying to control but Howard postures up.
Howard throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Howard stalling.
Nassoon wants to control but Howard is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Howard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nassoon tries to avoid it but Howard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nassoon to the ground. Nassoon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Howard looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Nassoon!
Howard takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Let's hope that Howard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Nassoon tries to reverse the position but Howard maintains control.

Howard connects with a bit shot that sees Nassoon covering up! More strikes from Howard and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Howard is our winner by TKO!
