PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard Batsbak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Choi Siwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Richard Batsbak has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Richard Batsbak seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Siwon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Siwon avoids a wild elbow strike from Batsbak.
Siwon avoids the elbow strike from Batsbak, against the cage.
Siwon dodges an elbow strike from Batsbak.
Batsbak tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Siwon decides to pull guard.
Batsbak trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Batsbak wants to stand but Siwon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Siwon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Batsbak doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Batsbak manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Siwon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Batsbak is aware though and is defending well.
Batsbak has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Siwon is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Batsbak trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Siwon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Siwon tries to free his leg and advance position but Batsbak is retaining full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Batsbak is looking to stand up but Siwon won't let him.

Batsbak stands up and waves to Siwon to follow him.

Siwon tightens his grip and picks Batsbak up, before dumping him to the ground. Batsbak manages to land in guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Siwon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Batsbak was covering up waiting for the punch and Siwon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Siwon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Batsbak is just riding it out for now. Siwon eventually gives up the hold.

Siwon has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Batsbak defend it? Siwon steps over the head and cranks it - Batsbak is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Siwon!

A very excited looking Choi Siwon rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
