The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bungholz defends it nicely.
Young shoots in for a takedown but Bungholz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Young misses with a double jab.

Bungholz ducks under a wild hook from Young.
Bungholz needs to keep his hands up - Young had a free shot at his head there.
Bungholz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Bungholz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Young tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bungholz was well out of range. Poor timing from Young.
Jason Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bungholz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Young.
Bungholz drops his hands momentarily and Young takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Young has his takedown stuffed
and Bungholz counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Touchin Bungholz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Young.
Young misses with a right hand
and Bungholz counters with a nice uppercut.
Young wants to clinch up but Bungholz keeps it at a distance.

Young looks to land a left hand but Bungholz moved out of range nicely.

Young doesn't manage to clinch there - Bungholz circles away.

Bungholz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Young to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Young throws a strike but Bungholz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Young is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bungholz is aware though and is defending well.

Bungholz has his feet on Young's thighs here. He's pushed Young off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Young screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
