Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hy Wiener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BeeJay Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wiener comes to the cage accompanied by Fok Julle Naaiers. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Wiener misses.

Penn takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wiener looks to throw the jab but Penn is out of range.
Penn takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Wiener gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Penn can't break the clinch.

Penn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hy Wiener seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wiener throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wiener ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Penn throws out a loose jab but Wiener uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wiener lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Penn at a distance.

Wiener lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Penn backs up against the cage.

Wiener throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Penn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Penn jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Wiener displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Penn throws out the jab.

Wiener misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Penn.

Penn manages to break the clinch.
Wiener throws a jab but it's blocked by Penn.
Penn loads up on a big right hand but Wiener slips the punch.
Penn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Wiener throws a body punch but Penn moves out of range.
Penn walks into a jab.
Wiener scores with a head kick. Penn tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Penn cracks Wiener with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Penn misses with a straight left.
Wiener takes a jab right on the kisser.

Wiener bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Oh Wiener is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
No joy there for Penn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wiener tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Penn was well out of range. Poor timing from Wiener.
Wiener misses with a wild body shot.
Wiener seems to have got his legs back now.
Penn cracks Wiener with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Wiener tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Penn pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Wiener is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
