Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bertus Eppinga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mauricio Silva!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eppinga shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Eppinga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Eppinga shoots and misses
and Silva counters with a two punch combo.
Silva leaves Eppinga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bertus Eppinga. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice sprawl there from Silva as Eppinga shoots in.
Eppinga fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Silva throws a right hand that Eppinga ducks under and follows up with a left that Eppinga also avoids with ease.
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Eppinga, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Silva lands with a nice combination. Eppinga backs away looking to recover.
Eppinga takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Silva ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Eppinga is breathing heavily.
Silva works the jab nicely.
Horrible takedown by Eppinga or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Silva throws a series of strikes that have Eppinga backpedaling.
Silva connects with a body shot.
Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Eppinga moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Eppinga dodges the punch combination from Silva.
Eppinga tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Eppinga throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva looks to land a combination. Eppinga sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva clobbers Eppinga with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Eppinga is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva cracks a nice hook into Eppinga's ribs.

Silva lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Oooooh!!! Silva has knocked Eppinga down with a huge combo! Silva steps away and waves a wobbly Eppinga back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Bertus Eppinga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Eppinga.
Eppinga shoots in but no luck this time.
Horrible takedown by Eppinga or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.
Eppinga throws a wild hook but Silva just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Eppinga gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Silva raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
