Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Christer Fugelsang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maiquel Jose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jose's choice of entrance music: Skabo-Vuk Vuku Nikad Covek. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Christer Fugelsang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maiquel Jose!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jose fails in his attempt to clinch.
Fugelsang swings for the body but Jose moves out of range.
Fugelsang dips to his left and cracks Jose with an uppercut!

Jose gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fugelsang to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Jose is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jose manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jose moves away from the strike by Fugelsang.
Fugelsang bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jose's head.
Fugelsang ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Jose closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fugelsang circles away.
Jose shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fugelsang as he avoids it easily.

Fugelsang bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jose is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fugelsang's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Jose slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Fugelsang is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jose is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jose has escaped and now he's on top!

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Fugelsang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jose on the ground.

Jose throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jose looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fugelsang with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jose lands a nice short elbow.
Fugelsang makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fugelsang.
Jose trying to control the position from guard on top but Fugelsang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fugelsang controls Jose momentarily but Jose frees himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fugelsang has his foot on Jose's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jose works his way back into a safe position though.

Jose is landing with some decent strikes but Fugelsang is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Jose is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fugelsang can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fugelsang drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jose dives on top into guard.

Christer Fugelsang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jose wants to pass the guard but Fugelsang is keeping the position.
Fugelsang bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jose's guard.
Jose has a closed guard, preventing Fugelsang from standing up.

Jose working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fugelsang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fugelsang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fugelsang drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jose looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jose looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jose!
Jose wants to control but Fugelsang is keeping him busy.
Fugelsang is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Fugelsang manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fugelsang gets back to full guard.
Jose stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fugelsang swivels though and keeps the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Christer Fugelsang showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Jose has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
