The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hasic looks to score with a jab to the body but Segura is just out of range.
Segura fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hasic manages to avoid it.

Segura throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hasic tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Segura is in Hasic's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hasic keeping moving, preventing Segura from controlling successfully.
Segura cracks Hasic with a solid left hand.
Hasic utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Segura keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hasic's head.
Segura postures up in Hasic's guard and throws a big left but Hasic blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Segura could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Segura passes Hasic's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Hasic is doing well to control the position and prevent Segura from advancing to side control.
Segura has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Segura uses his free foot to push down on Hasic's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hasic.
