Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reggie Turner!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez has taken the fight to the clinch.
Turner is trying to maintain a safe position but Sanchez gets an underhook and turns Turner into the cage.
Sanchez fails to pull guard.
Sanchez is trying to force a seperation but Turner has the dominant position.
Turner is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Sanchez is keeping busy.
Sanchez working aggressively here.
Turner gets underhooks to prevent Sanchez's takedown attempt.
Turner misses with some punches.
Turner lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


It looks like Andrew Sanchez has been cut.
Turner looking to stall.
Sanchez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Turner pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Sanchez thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Turner's head.
Sanchez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Sanchez prevents Turner from standing back up.
Sanchez throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Still in half guard, Sanchez seems content to control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Turner is not content to let Sanchez control the position.
Turner is looking to control Sanchez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Turner avoid being mounted?
Sanchez slips a nice elbow through Turner's hands, connecting with Turner's forehead.
Sanchez trying to control the action but Turner is working from the bottom.
Turner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sanchez scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Turner moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Sanchez is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Turner defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sanchez.

Sanchez moves into the clinch successfully.
Turner is stalling here.
Sanchez jumps guard but Turner stands there with Sanchez around his waist. Sanchez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sanchez gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Turner pushes Sanchez off and gets back to his feet.
Andrew Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Andrew Sanchez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sanchez dives in and grabs Turner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Turner pushes down on Sanchez's head and hops out.

Turner lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sanchez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Turner defends it nicely.

Turner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanchez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Turner lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Sanchez misses with some punches.
Turner leaning his opponent against the cage.
Sanchez tries to break the clinch but Turner is controlling the position.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Turner.
Turner lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Sanchez tries for a takedown but Turner manages to get underhooks.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Turner.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanchez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Turner fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Turner doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanchez circles away.

A head kick misses from Turner.
A big left from Turner misses.

Sanchez rushes Turner and presses him up against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Turner.
Sanchez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Turner is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Turner scores with a shot to the side of Sanchez's head.
Turner swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sanchez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Turner smiles and moves away.
Turner tries to clinch there but Sanchez circles away.
Reggie Turner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Turner looks to land a combination. Sanchez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Turner tries to clinch but Sanchez is having none of it.
Sanchez misses with a shot to the body
and Turner counters with a one-two to the body.

Turner goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Turner checks a low kick from Sanchez.
Turner tries to clinch but Sanchez moves out of range.
Sanchez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sanchez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Turner circles away.
No joy there for Turner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Turner throws a head kick but Sanchez moves out of range.
Turner fails in his attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Turner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Reggie Turner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Turner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sanchez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Turner has Sanchez pressed against the cage, preventing Sanchez from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Sanchez throws a head punch that misses.

Turner throws a punch but it's blocked by Sanchez.

Turner swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Turner lands a good knee to the midsection. Sanchez won't want to take too many of those.
Turner tries a body shot but Sanchez blocks it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Turner keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sanchez's efforts to push away.
Turner stalling in the clinch but Sanchez improves position.
Sanchez goes for a takedown attempt but Turner pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Turner wants to clinch up but Sanchez keeps it at a distance.
Turner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sanchez.

Turner bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sanchez's head.
Sanchez dives in and grabs Turner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Turner pushes down on Sanchez's head and hops out.

Sanchez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Turner to keep the fight standing.

Turner throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sanchez blocks it with crossed arms.
Sanchez takes a knee right on the jaw!
Sanchez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Turner just stands there and leans against the cage.

Reggie Turner seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sanchez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Turner walks away with a smile on his face. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Turner connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Reggie Turner seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Turner misses with a wild combination.
Turner misses with a double jab

and Sanchez counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Turner is not content to let Sanchez control the position.
Turner blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sanchez.
Turner is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sanchez trying to mount his opponent but Turner defends it.
Sanchez works his way into full mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Turner can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sanchez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Turner is squirming around, avoiding Sanchez's attempts to control the action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andrew Sanchez showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
