Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Giuseppe Giacomucci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neil Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Diaz. Giacomucci does a little dance to reset his feet.

Diaz throws a looping overhand right but Giacomucci ducks down to avoid it.

Giacomucci closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Diaz's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Giacomucci wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.

Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Giacomucci gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Giacomucci can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Giacomucci accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Giacomucci is pushing down on Diaz's leg trying to pass to half guard. Diaz is fighting to maintain full guard but Giacomucci has managed to sneak the leg through.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Giacomucci connects with a nice short shot to Diaz's temple.

Giacomucci looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Diaz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Giacomucci lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Diaz quite badly. Diaz pulls Giacomucci in close trying to recover. Giacomucci postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Diaz on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Diaz doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
