The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronan feints a jab promting Chicletinho to slip. Ronan then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Chicletinho slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Chicletinho tries for a takedown but Ronan circles away easily
enabling Ronan to counter with a crisp jab.
Chicletinho takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ronan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Chicletinho shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ronan defends it nicely.
Ronan throws a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chicletinho closes the distance and clinches up with Ronan, looking for a takedown. Chicletinho pushes Ronan against the cage but Ronan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Elvis Ronan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mister Chicletinho.
Ronan scores with a hook to the body. Chicletinho takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Nice body punch from Ronan.
Ronan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Chicletinho looks gassed!

Ronan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Chicletinho looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nice takedown defense from Ronan. No joy for Chicletinho on that attempt.

Ronan lunges at Chicletinho with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Chicletinho's hand.
Elvis Ronan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Ronan moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Chicletinho! Ronan continues to tee off on Chicletinho, landing with a left and a right! Ronan connects with a right hand that leaves Chicletinho sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Ronan!
