The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos closes the distance but Jackson moves to the side
and Jackson counters with a two punch combo.
Santos shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Santos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jackson throws a chopping leg kick but Santos manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Jackson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jackson won't allow Santos to get back to his feet.

A clash of legs there as Santos blocks the low kick.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jackson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Santos keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Jackson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Santos is forced to tap! Great finish!

Lee Jackson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
