The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rambo shoots in for a double leg but Hendo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hendo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Hendo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rambo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hendo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rambo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hendo gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Rambo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hendo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rambo has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hendo after a bit of a struggle.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jay Hendo.
Well Hendo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
