The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buscemi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Da Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Buscemi somewhat.

and Da Silva counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Buscemi is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Da Silva has managed to clinch.
Da Silva is trying to drag Buscemi to the mat but Buscemi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

Buscemi gets control of Da Silva's arms and successfully pulls guard. Buscemi will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Da Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Da Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Buscemi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Da Silva turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Buscemi slaps away a takedown attempt from Da Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Da Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Buscemi tries to avoid it but Da Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Buscemi to the ground. Buscemi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
