Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Dammon!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns misses with a combination
and Dammon counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Carl Burns has been cut.
Dammon connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Burns throws a hook but Dammon avoids it easily.
Carl Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Dammon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Burns clobbers Dammon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Burns feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Dammon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burns accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Burns throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That kick from Burns tenderised Dammon's leg. Dammon is trying to keep his angry face on.
