Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shane Rory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Joyce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Joyce struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rory keeps the fight on the outside.
Joyce looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Rory looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Joyce is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rory.

It looks like Steve Joyce has been cut.
Joyce tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rory connects with a good right hand that stumbles Joyce. Joyce circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Joyce is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Rory just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Joyce has gone limp and this one is over!
