The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush throws a hook to the side of Powers's head but Powers sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Powers, right into the meat.
Powers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Powers fails with an attempt to clinch.
Powers looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rush .
Rush moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Powers goes down! Can Rush finish him!?

Powers is rocked!

It looks like Matt Powers has been cut.
Powers looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Oh Powers is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rush in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Rush trying to control but Powers is working from the bottom.
Rush with a flurry of punches that miss.

Powers seems to have got his legs back now.

Rush stands and steps away. Powers gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Rush throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Powers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rush .

Powers dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rush . That did some damage!
Matt Powers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Powers with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rush looks gassed!
Powers slips under a jab.
Powers tries to close the distance and clinch but Rush swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rush misses with an uppercut. Powers saw that one coming.
Powers lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Powers lands a slapping body shot.
Powers avoids the head kick by Rush .
Rush is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Powers hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
