PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimi Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Kafka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kafka has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kafka pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hendrix throws out a leg kick but Kafka moves out of range and Hendrix only half commits.
Hendrix wants to clinch up but Kafka keeps it at a distance.
Hendrix tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kafka swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kafka shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hendrix napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kafka.

Hendrix has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Kafka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hendrix's guard.
Hendrix will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kafka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hendrix swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kafka slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kafka fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hendrix.

Hendrix is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
