The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deupreaux on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Deupreaux showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mantegna.
Mantegna shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Deupreaux eats them both and turns towards Mantegna to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Jacques Deupreaux has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Deupreaux uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mantegna.
Deupreaux blocks a jab.
Mantegna throws a left and a right that both miss
and Deupreaux counters with a nice body shot.
Deupreaux wants to clinch.
Mantegna moves into range and connects with a jab.
Deupreaux tries for a takedown but Mantegna sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tony Mantegna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deupreaux tries to close the distance and clinch but Mantegna swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Deupreaux throws a right and a left that both miss.
Donk. Mantegna catches Deupreaux right on the button with a cross.
Deupreaux avoids the body shot from Mantegna.

The fight stays on the outside here - Deupreaux looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Deupreaux wants to clinch up but Mantegna keeps it at a distance.
Mantegna is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Deupreaux throws a right hand that Mantegna ducks under and follows up with a left that Mantegna also avoids with ease.

Mantegna lands a left and a right that send Deupreaux crashing to the mat, dazed. Mantegna thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Mantegna engages and cracks Deupreaux with a massive lead left hook - Deupreaux tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Mantegna is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
