Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ol Bastard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bastard's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Montivantion. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Emelianenko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bastard tries for a takedown but Emelianenko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bastard's corner calls for a 1-2. Bastard obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Bastard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Emelianenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bastard has managed to get both his arms back between Emelianenko's legs - danger averted.

Emelianenko isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bastard stacks Emelianenko on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bastard!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bastard moves in looking to clinch but Emelianenko pushes him off.
Emelianenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bastard moves away.
Emelianenko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Emelianenko wants it to stay on the feet.
Bastard has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Emelianenko finds it's way round the side to connect with Bastard's head.

Fedor Emelianenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bastard shoots in looking for a takedown. Emelianenko tries to sprawl out of it but Bastard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Emelianenko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ol Bastard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
