Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Saget!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Smith!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Smith fails in his attempt to clinch.
Smith wants to clinch up but Saget keeps it at a distance.
Smith tries to clinch up.
Smith is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Saget ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away.
James Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saget throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Saget lands with a hook. Smith tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Smith moves away from the strike by Saget.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saget lands a nice looking body shot.
A head kick misses from Smith.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saget swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Saget circles away from the clinch attempt.
Saget misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Smith is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Saget fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Smith throws a head kick but Saget moves out of range.
Smith bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Saget! He dives into his guard looking to finish!


Saget is rocked!

Saget working for submissions but it's allowed Smith to get to half guard.
Oh Saget is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith throwing shots but Saget is blocking nicely.

Smith is looking to take a break and control but Saget is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Saget seems to have got his legs back now.
Smith missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Smith stops Saget from getting back to his feet.
Saget might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Smith tries to stand but can't do so whilst Saget controls his leg.
Saget is pressing down on Smith's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Saget looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Saget works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Smith trying to stand up but can't free himself from Saget's guard.
Smith trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Smith wants to stand but Saget has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Smith postures up.

Saget pushes Smith off and scrambles back to his feet.
Smith tries to clinch up but Saget circles away and keeps his distance.
A jab from Saget misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Saget shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Smith wants to get back to his feet.
Smith is looking to improve his position.
Smith scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Saget manages to mount him!
Smith is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saget avoids the attempt from Smith to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bob Saget will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Smith tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Saget paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Saget missing with a left hand there. Smith was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Smith fails in his attempt to clinch.
Smith tries to clinch but Saget moves out of range.
Smith tries to clinch up but Saget circles away and keeps his distance.
Smith shoots and misses
and Saget counters with a straight right hand.
Saget scores with a jab to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saget's corner calls for a 1-2. Saget obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and Saget holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Saget trying to stall but Smith improves his position.

Saget pressing his opponent against the cage.
Smith stalling in the clinch but Saget improves position.
Saget wants to stall.
Smith trying to stall but Saget improves his position.
Saget tries to land knees in the clinch but Smith avoids the damage to the body.
Saget is trying to maintain a safe position but Smith gets an underhook and turns Saget into the cage.

Smith is trying to trip Saget. He has hold of a leg but Saget is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Smith persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Smith wanted to stand there but Saget had control of the position.
Smith preventing the sweep.
Smith trying to control but Saget is working from the bottom.
Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Smith with a flurry of punches that miss.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Saget is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Saget is looking for a triangle here but Smith uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smith is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Saget's shoulder. That is not cool.

Smith stands up.
Smith tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Saget counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Smith wants to clinch but Saget slips to the side

and Saget counters by moving into the clinch.
Smith connects with a knee to the head.
Smith unloads a knee to the mid-section. Saget lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Smith connects with a knee right up the middle there - that's rocked Saget badly! Saget tumbles to the floor and Smith stands over him, dominant and satisfied with his glorious KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Smith!
