PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Guy Owen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Leszczynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Owen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Leszczynski uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Owen.
Leszczynski slips a straight right by Owen.
Owen misses with a hook. Leszczynski ducked under it nicely.
Owen clobbers Leszczynski with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Owen throws a lazy uppercut

and Leszczynski counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Leszczynski wants to work for an arm triangle but Owen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
