Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taylo Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeedo Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ray might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Derek and the Dominos - Layla. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Kimura is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ray to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ray shrugs it off.

Ray tries to control Kimura's body but Kimura pushes him off. Ray squirms to his side and now Kimura has his back!

Kimura is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ray defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kimura has the hooks in. Ray is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kimura uses his free foot to push down on Ray's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ray.

Kimura has hold of Ray's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ray manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
