Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spar Bot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spar Bott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spar Bot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spar Bot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spar Bott!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bott throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bot looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Bott shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bot manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bot doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Bott is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Bott stays in close to Bot's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Spar Bott was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Bott scores with a takedown into Bot's guard.

Bott's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Bot could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bott throws a big elbow that misses.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Spar Bott.

Bott clinches up with Bot and pushes him back against the cage.
Bot jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bott walks away with a smile on his face. Bot gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Bott closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bot quickly recovers to half guard.

Bott is nestled in close to Bot, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Spar Bott wasn't active enough on the ground.

Bott moves into range and clinches up with Bot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bott wants the takedown. Bot is fighting it off but Bott persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bot's guard against the cage.

Bott is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Bott must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Spar Bott wasn't active enough on the ground.
Bott throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bott tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Let's hope that Bott has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Spar Bott.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bott is defended easily by Bot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spar Bott dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


A combination from Bott does no damage.

Bott has closed the distance and engaged Bot in a clinch.
Bot's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!


It looks like Spar Bot has been cut.
Bott lands a left hand.

Bott wants the takedown. Bot is fighting it off but Bott persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bot's guard against the cage.
Bott is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Bott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bot swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Spar Bott wasn't active enough on the ground.
Bott stuffs the takedown attempt from Bot. Bot gets slowly back to his feet.

Bott instigates a clinch.

Bott's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bot gets caught napping as Bott dives in and scores a takedown. Bot manages to retain guard.
Bott is stalling in the full guard.

Bott controls from within his opponent's guard.
Bot looking for a sweep. Not yet Bot, not yet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Spar Bott wasn't active enough on the ground.

Bott fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bot, pushing him back against the cage.

Bott continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bot is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Bott breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bott drives through with a takedown into guard.


Bot is rocked!

Bott gets to his feet. Bot looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Bott closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Oh Bot is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bott cracks Bot with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Bott immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Bot is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Bott!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Spar Bott!
