Thompson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by All In The Family. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson has managed to clinch.

Draft has hold of one of Thompson's legs. Thompson is fighting the takedown attempt but Draft gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Draft postures up in Thompson's guard and throws a big left but Thompson blocks it.
Draft lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Thompson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Draft loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Draft throwing strikes from guard but Thompson blocks nicely.

Draft got a little sloppy there for a moment and Thompson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Draft has managed to get both his arms back between Thompson's legs - danger averted.
Draft wants to pass the guard but Thompson is keeping the position.

Thompson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Draft is aware though and is defending well.

Draft gets to his feet and stands over Thompson, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Thompson felt that one! Draft unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Thompson from any more punishment!
