The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Manilow.
Lonzo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Manilow throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Manilow tries to score with a low kick but Lonzo moves his leg out of the way.
Manilow looks to score with a jab to the body but Lonzo is just out of range.
Lonzo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A swing and a miss from Manilow.
Lonzo misses with a body shot.
Lonzo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Manilow but Manilow pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lonzo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Manilow throws a looping overhand right but Lonzo ducks down to avoid it.
Manilow fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lonzo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Manilow swivels and escapes.
Barry Manilow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Lonzo.
Lonzo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Manilow manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lonzo punishes Manilow's body with a nice straight punch.
Lonzo looks to land a left hand but Manilow moved out of range nicely.

Lonzo takes a swing at Manilow's ribcage but misses.
Manilow lands a leg kick that knocks Lonzo off balance momentarily.
Lonzo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sloppy strikes from Lonzo. Those never looked like landing.

It looks like Rick Lonzo has been cut.

That kick from Manilow tenderised Lonzo's leg. Lonzo is trying to keep his angry face on.
Manilow defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lonzo.
Manilow tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lonzo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A chopping leg kick lands by Manilow.
Manilow lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Manilow lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lonzo shoots in but no luck this time.

Manilow lands a big head kick that sends Lonzo tumbling to the mat! Manilow takes a step backwards and waves Lonzo back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Lonzo is rocked!

Lonzo is still on wobbly legs! Can Manilow finish him?
Manilow lands a left hand.
Manilow jerks Lonzo's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Lonzo drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Manilow goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Manilow because Lonzo was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Barry Manilow tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
