And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nick Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith with a lazy takedown attempt
and Sanchez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Smith!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Smith wants to hold on but Sanchez pushes him away.
Sanchez is landing with some decent strikes but Smith is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Sanchez cracks Smith with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith can't escape the position.
