Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rip James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Baramari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes into the arena with The Ultimatum blaring out of the sound system. Baramari has chosen WOODKID - Iron as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Baramari!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws out a loose jab but Baramari uses good head movement to avoid it.
Baramari keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from James.

Baramari tried to score with a low kick but James checks it.

Baramari breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and James counters with a shoot takedown. Baramari fights it but they end up in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

James might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

James stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baramari swivels though and keeps the full guard.
James wants to control from the top but Baramari keeps moving.

Baramari tries to land a sweep but no joy.
James is looking to work some ground and pound but Baramari has wrist control.
Baramari wants to stand up but James is controlling him.

James throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Baramari works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Baramari is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

James postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Baramari has control of James's left arm, preventing James from doing any damage.
Jamesis looking to pass into half guard but Baramari pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Baramari is in guard.

James is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Baramari dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Baramari. James shrugs it off though.
James chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Baramari can pounce on him.
James throws a shot from downtown. Baramari moves away and avoids it.
Baramari misses with a head kick.
Baramari misses with a low kick.
Baramari stuffs the takedown attempt from James. James gets slowly back to his feet.
Baramari tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance.
Baramari tried to score with a low kick but James checks it.
Baramari misses with a body shot.
James is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Baramari's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
James shoots in for a takedown but Baramari shows good takedown defense.

Good leg kick by Baramari there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! James crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Baramari - the referee stops the clock and James gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Baramari. James manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That kick from Baramari tenderised James's leg. James is trying to keep his angry face on.
Baramari will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Bob Baramari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

James has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Baramari.

Baramari tries to bum rush James with a series of wild strikes but James uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Baramari scores with a one two! James had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Baramari tries to land a front kick but James steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

James takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
James shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Baramari as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rip James. That's going to take a lot out of him.

James is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

James sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Baramari lands a leg kick that knocks James off balance momentarily.

James finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Baramari's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and James falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bob Baramari!
A very excited looking Bob Baramari made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
